CureDuchenne is a national nonprofit raising awareness and funds to cure Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Paul and Debra Miller founded the organization in 2003 after their son, Hawken, was diagnosed with Duchenne. Since then, the organization has funded many scientific projects to fast-track research and new treatments for Duchenne, while advocating for the community with education and support programs. Duchenne muscular dystrophy is currently 100% fatal.

Laura and Tim Revell found CureDuchenne by doing a google search for Duchenne organizations that aligned with their Christian Faith. The results led them to the Miller family, who turned out to be very like-minded with their family’s newly diagnosed reality. They wanted to make a difference and wouldn’t take no for an answer.

Tim Revell quickly signed up for a marathon (he’s ran 18 marathons raising funds for CureDuchenne), organized Champions, Ladies Luncheon, and got busy raising money to find a cure. These efforts developed into larger opportunities and doors were opened for them to begin raising significant dollars to help advance multiple research projects to clinical trials.

The Revells are committed to not letting this generation of boys and young men down. They are empowered by the love of their two sons, Andrew and Timothy. Together we will Cure Duchenne!
